§00 / SHOPIFY MIGRATIONS · PLATFORM REARCHITECTURE

Shopify Migrations.
Move platforms without losing ground.

Migrations to Shopify from Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud or custom platforms, and upgrades from vintage themes to Online Store 2.0. Products, customers, orders and search rankings are planned for, not hoped for.

Built for established brands doing $100K+ a year in online sales.

Review the work
FIG. 01 — MIGRATION GATE

What gets moved, and how it is proven.

SpecificationDeliverableAcceptance
Data migrationProducts, variants, collections, customers, orders, gift cards and reviews mapped field by field.Reconciled counts
SEO continuityFull URL inventory, 301 redirect map, metadata, structured data and internal links carried across.Redirect test suite
Theme & OS 2.0Sections-everywhere templates, metafields and JSON templates replacing hard-coded layouts.Editor-ready
Cutover planA rehearsed launch sequence with a content freeze window, DNS steps and a rollback plan.Signed-off runbook

Every legacy field gets a destination, a transformation rule and an owner, so nothing quietly disappears in transit.

FIG. 02 — DATA MAPPING

Rehearse it before it counts.

We run at least one full rehearsal migration into a staging store, then compare record counts, spot-check data and crawl the redirects before the real cutover is scheduled.

Launch day becomes a checklist rather than an experiment: freeze, final delta import, redirects live, DNS switch, monitoring on.

A few things, clarified.

Will we lose our Google rankings?

Any migration carries some risk, which is why we inventory every indexed URL, map redirects one by one, keep metadata and test the redirects before launch. We then monitor Search Console closely after cutover.

Can you migrate order history and customer accounts?

Yes. Historical orders and customer records can be imported. Passwords cannot be migrated for security reasons, so we plan a customer account activation flow.

How long does a migration take?

It depends on catalogue size, data quality, integrations and design scope. We estimate after an audit, with the rehearsal and cutover dates fixed in the plan.

What is an Online Store 2.0 migration?

Moving an older theme to Shopify's sections-everywhere architecture, so your team can build and rearrange pages in the editor without developer help.

Send us
the brief.

A new store. A difficult migration. The thing your current stack can’t do.
Let’s make a plan.
