Who we are
Script & Theory is an independent web design and ecommerce engineering studio at 6464 Savoy Dr, Ste 720, Houston, TX 77036. This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to scriptandtheory.com and the enquiries you send through it.
Information you provide
Our project-brief form asks for your name, work email, company URL, platform, budget range, timeline and notes. We use this information to assess your enquiry and reply. Please do not include passwords, payment details or other sensitive information.
How enquiries are handled
When configured, enquiries are sent to HubSpot for lead management. Preview submissions made before HubSpot is connected are not delivered or stored. We do not add you to a marketing list through this form.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use analytics and advertising tags, such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft Advertising, LinkedIn and X (Twitter), to understand how visitors use the site and to measure our advertising, including when a project brief is submitted. These services may set cookies or similar identifiers and receive technical information such as pages viewed, device and approximate location. When you submit a brief, your email address and phone number may be shared with Google and X in hashed form to measure ad conversions. We do not sell personal information.
You can limit this tracking through your browser settings, Google ad settings, the Google Analytics opt-out add-on and Meta ad preferences.
Retention and access
We intend to retain enquiry information only for as long as needed to manage the conversation and applicable obligations. To request access, correction or deletion, contact team@scriptandtheory.com.
Third parties and transfers
Website hosting and, once connected, HubSpot process information to provide their services. Relevant provider agreements and international-transfer safeguards should be confirmed before launch.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider processes technical information needed to deliver pages securely, such as IP address, browser type and request time, in server and security logs. We do not use this information to identify you.
Why we use your information
We use enquiry details to respond to you, prepare proposals and manage a potential working relationship. Where data protection laws require a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, or on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, email us and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are validated on the server before being passed to our CRM. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we limit access to enquiry data to the people who need it.
Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our practices change, including before any analytics or advertising tools are introduced, and revise the date at the top.
